Janet L. Gordon, 73 passed away Friday (March 1, 2024) at Jones Memorial Hospital in Wellsville.
Born in Hornell, October 16, 1950. she was the daughter of Chester A. Gosper II and Eleanor Davison Gosper. She had resided all her life in the area. She had been employed as a Child Support Collection Officer for the Allegany County Department of Social Services prior to her retirement. She was a member of the Angelica Rescue Squad, was a high school Volleyball referee for 35 years. She was also instrumental in the organizing of the Angelica Youth Sports Program.
She was predeceased by her father, Chester A. Gosper II, and her sister, Reva Lentola.
She is survived by her daughter, Crystal (Albert) Carmer of Filmore, her son, Heath “Buddy”(Danyelle) Gordon of Angelica, her grandchildren, Zach (Katelyn) Hodnett, Hannah Gordon, Haylea Ward, Riley Gordon, Mitchell Ward, Myranda (Carson) Gumtow, and Colby Carmer, Great Grandchildren, Zaylee, Tucker, Madeline and Alaynna, her mother, Eleanor Gosper of Hornell, her sister, Cheryl (Alf) Allen of Angelica. Her brother, Chester A. Gosper III of Angelica, and a special friend, Michelle Gordon who helped care for her during her final illness. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.
