Jane Ellen Mess, 86, formerly of Jane Street, passed away Sunday (Nov. 28, 2021) at the Hornell Gardens.
Born in Hornell, October 10, 1935, the daughter of Clinton and Rada Gillette, she had resided in Hornell her entire life. She was a graduate of Alfred Almond Central School, and had been employed in the accounting department of the former Elmhurst Dairy and later at Byrne Dairy.
She was predeceased by her parents, her husband William R. Mess, her son; William P. Mess, as well as her 3 brothers.
Surviving are her daughter; Rebecca (Colin) Curran of Hornell, her son; Jason (Stacy) Mess of Hornell, and her sister; Virginia Schwartz of Fairport, 2 grandchildren; Lindsay (Seth) Maldonado , Emalee (Mitchell) Wright and a sister in law; Joyce Woodworth of Hornell.

Rev. Dudley Jenkins will officiate. Burial will be in Hornell Rural Cemetery.
