James R. "Jim" Miller, 73, of 72 Allegany Avenue, went to be with his savior on Tuesday (February 26, 2013) at the Wellsville Manor, where he enjoyed staying and received excellent care.



Born in Angelica, January 13, 1940, the son of Robert and Carol (Lacey) Miller, he was a lifelong area resident. Jim had worked as truck driver for several years, and retired as a heavy equipment operator at LaForge Construction in Wellsville. He was a 50 plus year member of the Angelica Fire Department. Jim enjoyed hunting, truck pulls, watching sports, and attending the Allegany County Fair.



He was predeceased by his parents, his wife Bonnie Rogers Miller in 2011, his daughter Carol Miller in 2011, his son James P. Miller in 1978, his brother Robert Miller in 2013, and his great great granddaughter Brionna Levine.



He is survived by his daughter Cindy (Todd) Murphy of Angelica, his son Raymond (Sonya) Miller of Belmont, his special friend and companion Marie Coen of Angelica, 3 sisters Linda Waite of Belmont, Mary Lou (Gordon) Stanton of Palmyra, Sue Miller of Angelica, a brother Ray (Sharon) Miller of Angelica, several grandchildren including Hunter Murphy whom he was very close to, several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.



The family will be present 2-4 & 7-9 PM Friday March 1, 2013, at the Brown & Powers Funeral Home, 101 West Avenue, where funeral services will be held on Saturday, at 11:00 AM, with the Rev. David Ford officiating.
