Jacqueline L. "Jackie" Baker, 80 formerly of Canisteo, passed away Sunday afternoon (Aug. 21, 2016) at the Hornell Gardens.
Born in Hornell, June 29, 1936, the daughter of Gerald and Luella Weaver Griffith, she had resided all her life in the Canisteo Area. Jackie had been employed for several years as a nurse's aide at the former Craig Colony in Sonyea. Later she was employed at Loohn's Cleaners in Hornell and for several years, operated the former Scott's Dairy Bar in Canisteo.
On April 6, 1958, she married Ernest Baker who predeceased her on January 8, 2011. She was also predeceased by her parents, and her brothers; John Griffith and Ira Evans.
She is survived by her son, James (Diane) Baker of Mt. Morris, three sisters, Nancy Coe of Livonia, Sharon (Jim) Clair of Hornell and Linda Evans of Rochester. Several nieces and nephews.

The family will be present to receive friends at the Bender- Brown & Powers Funeral Home, 354 Canisteo Street in Hornell on Wednesday (Aug. 24, 2016) from Noon until 2 PM when Funeral services will held at 2PM . Rev. Donald Maynard will officiating. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery, Canisteo.
