Jacqueline L. Hollister, 79, of 7940 State Route 36, passed away Wednesday (September 23, 2015) at Highland Hospital in Rochester,



Born in Hornell, June 27, 1936, the daughter of Milo and Edna Woolever Beyea, she had resided all of her life in this area. She was a graduate of Hornell High School, and had been employed as a cook and dishwasher at the former Big Elms Restaurant as well as the Sunset Inn, both in Hornell. She was a member of the Rebeccah Lodge of Hornell, long time member of the Ladies Auxilary of the Hornell VFW, the Ladies of the Moose, and a member of the former Eagles Club. She enjoyed playing cards and bingo.



She was predeceased by her parents, her daughter, Terri Vosburg, her sister, Bonita Kennell and her brothers, Ernest and Carl Beyea.



She is survived by her daughter, Carrie (Arthur) Simons of Canaseraga, her brother, John (Carol) Beyea of Texas, her sisters- in-law, Sue Beyea of Canisteo and Delia Beyea of Arkport, her "Sunday Euchre Buddies", six grandchildren, Carl (Gena) Elsenheimer, Edna (Shawn) Brewster, Brandi Root, Justin Root, Nicholas (Misty) Davis and Caitlyn (Joseph) Howle, Great Grandchildren, Adam Elsenheimer, Alexis Smith, Joshua Smith, Justin Covert, Seth LaClair, Caleb LaClair, Secquoia Brewster, Gregory, Elizabeth and Rylee Teague, Damien Root, Eric "Bubba" Bracken, David Bracken, Chloe Davis, James Puente, Autumn Howle, Terri Howle, Ariel Howle, and Trenton Howle, Special friends, Norrita Smith and her "Paper Boy, George", several nieces and nephews.

The family will be present to receive friends at the Bender - Brown & Powers Funeral Home, 354 Canisteo St, Hornell on Saturday October 3, 2015 from 11 AM until 1 PM at which time a celebration of life service will be held . Burial will be in Rural Cemetery, Hornell.
