Jack L. Loper Jr., 65, of County Route 128, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Thursday (June 1, 2017).
Born in Hornell July 14, 1951, the son of Jack L. Loper Sr. and Phyllis Mace Loper, he had resided in Canisteo all his life. He was a graduate of Canisteo Central School, and had been employed for Pfeil Construction Company, David Burch Imports in Bath, and most recently for Covered Wagon in Hornell.
Jack was a member of the Ten Towns Snowmobile Club, enjoyed country music, and enjoyed attending races at the Woodhull Raceway. He had a great love of his family and especially enjoyed spending time with them.
He was predeceased by his parents and step mother, Barbara Loper.
He is survived by his wife; Robin Houghtaling Loper to whom he was married November 13, 1971, two daughters; Tammy (Charles) Bisson of Canisteo and Christine Loper of Canisteo, his son, Adam (Jessica) Loper of Canisteo, his sister, Lorraine Caward of Canisteo, and his brothers; Ronald Wint of Dansville and William Wint of Canisteo, five grandchildren; Kaitlyn Loper, Dalton Bisson, Alysa Bisson, Noah Loper and Briar Loper.

The family will be present to receive friends at the Brown & Powers Funeral Home, 6 Spruce St., Canisteo on Thursday (June 8, 2017) from 5 until 7 PM at which time a memorial service will be held with Rev. Dudley Jenkins officiating.
