Howard V. Chapman, 72, of
8768 Burns Road, passed away Tuesday (May 6, 2008) at Noyes Hospitalin Dansville.
Born in Dansville, December 24, 1935, the son of Ralph and Irene Pfuntner Chapman, hehad resided his early life in Dansville, and in the Town of Burns since 1959. He had been employed at the former FosterWheeler Corporation in Dansville for 23 years prior to his retirement in1988. He was a former member of theDansville Moose Lodge, a social member of the Jackson Hose Company in Dansville and the Arkport and DansvilleAmerican Legion.
He was predeceased by his parents, and 2 brothers, Ralph andArthur Chapman.
He is survived by his wife of over 50 years, Lois MontgomeryChapman whom he married at Christ Episcopal Church in Hornell on June 29, 1957,3 sons- Jeffery (Sandra) Chapman of Dansville, Keith (Lois) Chapman of Burns,Brent (Becky Jo) Chapman of Burns, his brother, Terry Chapman of Raleigh, NorthCarolina, his sister-in-law, Kay Chapman of Alfred Station, his grandchildren,Kelly Chapman of Dryden, Justin (Cassie) Chapman of Dansville, KimberlyChapman, Delores Chapman, and Jami Snyder all ofBurns, Philip Snyder of Hornell, one great grandchild, RogannaSnyder, several nieces & nephews.
The family will be presentto receive friends from 2-4 & 6-8PM Thursday at the Bender - Brown& Powers Funeral Home, 354 Canisteo St, Hornell where funeral services willfollow calling hours at 8:00 PM, Rev.Paul Palmer officiating.
