Hope E. Packer, 57, of 32 Albion Street, passed away Friday (October 26, 2012) at Strong Hospital in Rochester.
Born in Canisteo, October 2, 1955, the daughter of Walter H. and Sybil Clark Packer, she was a graduate of Hornell High School, Class of 1973. Following graduation, she was employed for the Sacramento County Sheriff's Department in California before returning to Hornell where she was employed for 20 years for the New York State Department of Health.
She was predeceased by her father, Walter H. Packer and her step-father, Robert E. Haley.
She is survived by her mother, Sybil Haley of Canisteo, 2 brothers, Gary R. (Elizabeth) Packer of Canisteo, and Robert G. (Raweewan) Haley of Thailand, Special Aunt, Dorothy Clark of Hornell, Aunt, Eleanor (Ron) Kerr of CA., and her uncle, Dale (Pat) Woodward of Oregon, 2 nieces, Kelsey (Tim) Clair of Canisteo and Hilary Packer of VA., 4 nephews, Gabriel Packer, Matthew and Daniel Clark all of Canisteo, and Bes Haley of Thailand, Great Niece, Grace Ann Clair of Canisteo , special cousins, Frances Ann Perkins of Dansville and Colleen (Richard) Green of Perry, numerous other cousins. Hope was greatly loved and will be missed by her family and many friends as well as her spiritual family at the Kingdom Hall of Canisteo.
