Herman J. Cummins, 79, a resident of the Town of Greenwood, passed away Monday April 20, 2026 at Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre, PA.

Born in Cuba, New York on September 21, 1946, he was the son of Herman and Thelma Wyatt Cummins. He had worked much of his life in farming, mostly on the Frank O'Brian farm in Scio, New York.

Herman was predeceased by his parents, sisters, Mary and Joanne Cummins and one brother George Cummins.

Surviving are his long time companion, Martha "Sis" Roy of Greenwood, Daughters, Threasa Cummins of Wyoming, Nathala (James) Mead of Wellsville, Kathryn Roy of Hornell, Virginia (Brian) Smith of Hornell, Tracey (Chris) White of Dansville, Roberta (Charles) White of North Carolina, sons, Herman (Joanne) Cummins Jr. of South Carolina, and Richard Cummins of Rexville, one sister, Thelma Weller of Franklinville and 1 brother, Loren Cummins of Franklinville, 10 grandchildren including Jonathan White, Deklan Fisher and James Mead, Jr. and 5 great grand daughters.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a time and place to be announced.
