Herbert E. Waite, 75, of 17 Holly Terrace, Edgeview Estates, passed away Sunday (December 20, 2009) at the Wellsville Manor.
Born in Pompey, December 23, 1933, the son of Monroe and Margarite Carpenter Waite, he had resided in Hornell for the past 45 years. He had been employed for several years at the Steuben County Highway Department and was a member of the Cohocton Assembly of God.
He was predeceased by his sons, Frank and Herbert E. Waite Jr.
He is survived by 2 daughters, Linda (Peter) Stull of Alfred Station, Rebecca Waite of Alfred, 4 sons, Dennis (Diane) Waite of Texas, LeRoy Waite of Alfred, James (Karla) Waite of Whitesville and Michael (Anna) Waite of Corning, 10 grandchildren.
There will be no visiting hours. Family and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service at the Cohocton Assembly of God, on Sunday January 10. 2010 at 3 PM with Pastor Daniel Gardner officiating.
