Henry L. Greer, 72, of 4117 Boone Road, passed away Monday (February 15, 2010) at Noyes Memorial Hospital in Dansville.
Born in Madison County, TN, July 27, 1937, he had resided in the Wayland-Cohocton area since 1963. He retired from Gunlocke in Wayland. Henry was a member and Deacon at the Rehoboth Deliverance Ministries in Hornell.
He was predeceased by his father, 2 brothers, George Edward "Mule" Long, Kenneth Dwane Long, 2 sisters, Sarah Alice "Cookie" Long and Cheyrl Lynn Long.
He is survived by his wife, Arlene Greer of Hornell, his mother, Sarah Greer Long of Tenn., 2 daughters, Ruth Johnson (Jerry) Seawright of Rochester, Clara Green of Rochester, one son, McKinley (Naomi) Branch of Endwell, Brothers and sisters; Rev. Prentis Jane Floyd, Mary Dixion, Betty Grey, Donnie Long, Tony Long, Nathaniel Long and Freddie Long, and a host of nieces, nephews, grand and great grandchildren.

The family will be present to receive friends from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM Saturday at the Rehoboth Deliverance Ministries, 112 East Avenue in Hornell where Henry's Homegoing service will follow calling hours at 1:00 PM, Rev. Juanita Braswell officiating. Burial will be in Vale of Rest Cemetery in Avoca.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Bender-Brown & Powers Funeral Home of Hornell.
