Helen L. Terry, 89, of County Route 29, passed away Sunday (February 28, 2016) at St James Mercy Hospital.
Born in Hornell, February 15, 1927, the daughter of Robert and Bertha Jones Terry, she had resided in Hornell, all her life. In her early years Helen was the manager at the Hornell and Majestic Theatres and retired as a bookkeeper at Alfred University. She was a longtime member of Christ Episcopal Church where she served on the vestry, was an usher and worked at the thrift shop at the church.
In addition to her parent's Helen was predeceased by three brothers, Robert, William, and Thomas Terry, one sister, Elizabeth"Snooks" Terry.
She is survived by three brothers, Richard (Barbara) Terry of Canisteo, James (Rosemary) Terry of Trumansburg, and Robert "Butch" (Deanna) Terry of Canisteo, several nieces and nephews, longtime friend, Faith Orth of Addison.
