Helen M. Beaver,64, of

480 Maple City Dr.passed away peacefully , surrounded by her loving family on Saturday (April 22, 2006) at her home.



Born in Canisteo, June 12, 1941, the daughterof Henry and Jennie Karnes Hilyard Sr., shehad resided in Hornell area all herlife. She had been employed as a nursesaide at the Hornell Gardens and later in thelaundry department at the nursing home for 25 years. She was a member of Our Lady Of The ValleyParish, and a communicant of St. Ann'sChurch. She was also a member of theHornell Association, and was an avid New York Yankees Fan. She will beremembered for her fondness for John Elway and Andre Agassi.



She was predeceased byher parents, her husband Joseph Beaver on June 10, 2005,her infant sister Cleo Hilyard and her brother, Franklin Hilyardin 1937.



She is survived by herdaughter and caregiver, Cynthia (Larry) Fairman of Canisteo, her sons, Erich''Rick"(Penny) Beaver of Hornell and Stephen (Tammy) Beaver of Hornell, her sister,Hazel (Ron) Kromer of Arkport, her brothers, Henry Hilyard of Geneseo and Harold(Virginia) Hilyard of Canisteo. 5 Grandchildren,Danielle Fairman, Larry FairmanJr, Hiliary (Mike)Woodward, Jeremy Fairman, and Hannah Beaver, 3 great grandchildren,Thomas Beaver, Allison Woodward and Braidon Woodward.Several nieces, nephews and cousins. Helen's family especially wishes tothank her grand daughter, Hannah Beaverfor spending special evenings with her grandmother and her special friend, BettyMartin of Canisteo.

The family will be present to receive friends from 6-8PM Tuesday at the Bender-Brown & Powers Funeral Home,

354 CanisteoSt., Hornellwhere funeral services will be held followingcalling hours at 8 :00 PM,Deacon Robert McCormick officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery,Canisteo.
