Helen A. Amidon, 86, of 8461 Co.Rt. 46, passed away Friday (August 17, 2007) at the Hornell Gardens.
Born in Hornell, January 17, 1921, a daughter of Frank and Ethel Cornish Morey,Helen had been a life long resident ofthe Arkport, Hornell area.
Helen had been employed by the former HeugatesTextiles, in Hornell. She was a memberof Our Lady of The Valley Parish and a communicant of St. Ann's Church.
Helen was predeceased by her parents, her Husband , Clifford AmidonSr. in Dec. 1991, a Son, Richard Amidon, in 1989, twosisters, Angeline Woodworth, and Jean Chase, and onebrother, Frank Morey
She is survived by a daughter: Susan (Bruce) Smith ofFremont, two sons: Clifford " Butch" Amidon Jr. of Fremont, and Ronnie ( Mary) Amidon, of Arkport, two sisters Betty Hemann,of Ct. and Joann ( Philip) Woodworth of Hornell, and one brother Joseph (Dorothy) Morey of Hornell.
9 Grand children , 14 Great Grand Children, several nieces,nephews and cousins.
The family will be present to receive friends 2-4pm & 7-8:30PMMonday, (August 20, 2007) , at the Bender-Brown & Powers Funeral Home, 354Canisteo St., Hornell, where Funeral services will be held at the conclusion ofcalling hours at 8:30 PM. Burial will be in Arkport Cemetery,Arkport.
