Harry A Lorow, 67, of 7015 Fairway Drive, passed away Saturday (September 22, 2012) at Highland Hospital in Rochester.
Born in Hornell, April 11, 1945, the son of Harry A and Gladys (Dennis) Lorow Sr., he was a lifelong area resident, graduating from Hornell High School. He was retired from the New York State Department of Correctional Services in Groveland. Harry was an avid outdoorsman enjoying anything to do with the outdoors, including hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, camping, boating and motorcycling. As much as he loved the outdoors his family always came first spending time with his wife, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his father.
He is survived by his wife Patricia (McClafferty) Lorow whom he married on December 14, 1963, his mother Gladys Lorow of Bath, 2 daughters Deborah (Bill) Murray of Maryland, Susan Lorow of Maryland, his son Thomas E. (Bridget) Lorow of Burdett, 2 sisters Mary Bergh of Canisteo, JoAnn (Mike) Knopka of Illion, a brother David (Jane) Lorow of Hornell, grandchildren Nicholas, Samuel, Matthew, Brian, Lucas, Alex, Kyle and Corey, and 2 great grandsons Michael, and Thomas, as well as numerous nieces, and nephews.
The family will be present to receive friends and family from 2-4 & 7-9PM Tuesday, September 25, 2012, at the Bender - Brown & Powers Funeral Home, 354 Canisteo St, Hornell, where funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 AM, with the Rev. Jerry Springston officiating. Burial will be in Rural Cemetery in Hornell.
