Gregory G. Broughton, 56 a resident of Monroe Community Hospital, passed away on Tuesday (January 12. 2021) at Highland Hospital in Rochester, after a long and courageous battle with Multiple Sclerosis.
He was born in Hornell on January 24, 1964 the son of Gerald Broughton and Catherine Mae Mullen Broughton. He was a lifelong area resident, a graduate of Canaseraga Central School, and was a self-employed carpenter for many years. Greg also enjoyed the outdoors and bicycling.
He was predeceased by his mother Catherine in 2009, and his sister Amy Ellis.
He is survived by his father Gerald Broughton of Canaseraga, his son Zachary Broughton of Hornell, a granddaughter Amelia Broughton, his brothers Brian (Patricia) Broughton of Honeoye, and Loran Broughton, as well as nieces, nephews and cousins.
A private Graveside service will be held at the Catholic Cemetery in Canaseraga.
