Grace I. Barber,88, formerly of Hornell, passed awaySaturday (December 31, 2005)at the home of her son in Brighton.
Born in Hornell, February 15, 1917, the daughter of Tracyand Mary Shellhammer Phillips, she had beenemployed as a personnel clerk for the New York State Department ofTransportation in Hornell, prior to herretirement in 1982. She had resided in Brighton since1992.
She was a member of the Hornell United Methodist Churchand Ivanhoe Chapter #160, Order Of Eastern Star.
She was predeceased byher husband, Jesse Barber in 1990.
She is survived by two son: Dana Barber of Brighton,with whom she made her home, and Dr. David (Karen) Barber of Phoenix, NY, onegrandson, Paul Barber.
