Glenn C. Travis, 90, of 21 Cottage Avenue, passed away Saturday (June 2, 2018) at St. James Mercy Hospital.
Born in Hornell, November 17, 1927, the son of Harry and Leila (Blunt) Travis, he was a lifelong area resident. He was retired from Crowley Foods in Arkport. Glenn was a member of the NRA, and enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He was predeceased by his parents, and his wife Clara M. Norton Travis on August 2, 2005, whom he married on September 2, 1950, and his 3 sisters Beverly Travis, Ruth Wilder, and Delores Travis.
He is survived by 3 daughters Pamela (Dale Woodworth) Kerr of Cameron Mills, Lynn Persavage of SC, Robin (Neal) Burley of Arkport, 5 sons John (Jeanne) Travis of Hornell, Richard Travis of Hornell, Charles (Audretta) Travis of AZ, Kenneth (Rhonda Dawson) Travis of Bath, James Travis of Hornell, his brother Donald Travis of Hornell, several grand, great grand, and great great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
The family will be present 1-3pm Wednesday, June 6, 2018, at the Bender - Brown & Powers Funeral Home, 354 Canisteo Street in Hornell, where funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 3:00 PM, with Rev. Donald Maynard officiating. Burial will be in Rural Cemetery.
