Glenn S Bullock, 76, of 48 1/2 East Main Street, passed away Saturday (September 5, 2009) at Jones Memorial Hospital.
Born in Angelica, January 17, 1933, the son of Harry "Jack" and Lila Stafford Bullock, he had been a lifelong area resident of Angelica. Glenn graduated Wilsonian School, and was also in the National Guards for many years. On November 27, 1952 he married June Phillips Bullock who survives. Glenn owned and operated the ESSO and later the Exxon Garage for many years in Angelica, and later retired from the former Angelica Central School in 1995 as the transportation supervisor. He was also a member of the Angelica Masons, and the Angelica Fire Department, and had also retired and lived in Florida for 13 years, where he was a member of the First Baptist Church of Ft. McCoy, and had many lifelong and dear friends.
He is survived by his wife June, 2 daughters Darlene (Art) Hecker of Angelica, Dawn (Matt) Sweet of St Petersburg, Fla, 2 sisters Doris Dorsey of Angelica, Gladys Fox of Andover, grandchildren Tonya (Jeremy) Metatos, Lindsey Sweet, great grandchildren Charisma, and Tristan Metatos, adopted granddaughter Casey Mcrae, and many more extended grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews, and his sweethearts Patchy the dog, and Dinky the cat.
The family will be present 7-9pm Wednesday, and 11-12 noon on Thursday at the Brown & Powers Funeral Home, 101 West Ave., Angelica, where Funeral services will be held on Thursday, at 12:00 noon, with the Rev. Marc Chamberlain officiating. Burial will be in Until The Day Dawn Cemetery.
