Gladys E. Livergood,97, of Annapolis, formerly of Andover,passed away Friday (March 25, 2005) at the Skyway Assisted Living Center in Annapolis following alengthy illness.
Born in Shinglehouse, PA, January 1, 1908, Mrs. Livergood earned a degree in education from the former Geneseo Normal School . She was retired from the New York SchoolSystem, where she taught school for many years.She was a member of the Andover United Methodist Church and will be rememberedfor her love of birdwatching and gardening.
She was predeceased byher husband, Russell Livergoodon March 24, 1985.
She is survivedby two daughters, Janet (Daniel) Perkinsof Wellsville, and Dorothy L. Bartoletta of Annapolis, 10Grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, and one great greatgrandchild.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Serviceon Monday, April 11, 2005at 1:00 PM. at the Bender-Brown & Powers Funeral Home,
354 CanisteoSt., Hornell. Burial will follow in Arkport Cemetery.
