Gerald F. Sackett,89, of
7 Sullivan St,passed away Friday (March 24, 2006) at the Wellsville Manor.
Born in Cameron Mills, March 4, 1917, the sonof Ira andLyda WoodSackett,he had resided in the Hornell & Canisteo areas for several years. He had been employedfor the Erie,Erie Lakawanna Railroad as well asConrail as a conductor, mostly on the Susquehanna Division, prior to hisretirement. He also owned several apartment buildings and enjoyed remodeling andreselling homes.
He was predeceased by his parents, 3 sisters, Margaret Campbell,Marjorie Stiles and Genevieve Davison as well as 2 brothers, Loren and Warren Sackett.
He is survived by 3daughters, Joyce Stauffer of Arkport, Juanita Bennett of Howard, Tina (Luther)Stevens of Canisteo, 3 sons, William Sackett ofKendall, Walter (Marge) Sackett of Lima and Thomas(Doreen) Sackett of Hornell, 15 grandchildren several great grandchildren, nieces andnephews.

The family will be presentto receive friends from 11:00 AM until1:00 PM Monday at the Robertson FuneralHome, new location, 354 Canisteo Street, Hornell where funeral services will follow calling hours at 1 :00 PM. Rev. DonaldMaynard will officiate.. Burial will be in Howard Cemetery.
