Gerald "Jerry" McCollumn, 79, of 7304 North Main Street Ext., passed away Wednesday (May 5, 2010) at St. James Hospital.



Born in Hornell, April 13, 1931, the son of Raymond and Theresa Stanley McCollumn, he had resided in Hornell his entire life. He was a graduate of Hornell High School, and had been employed as a machinest at the former SKF Industries in Hornell.



He was predeceased by his parents, his sister, Joyce Holtz, and his brothers, Merle and James McCollumn.



He is survived by his wife, Marcia Robinson McCollumn whom he married on October 9, 1954, his daughter, Elise McCollumn of Rochester, his sons, Gregory McCollumn and Thomas McCollumn both of Hornell, his sisters, Mary (Walter) DeLap of Painted Post, Carolyn (Bob) Amell of Painted Post, Sally (Seth) Bragg of Waterloo, Linda McCollumn of Corning, his brothers, Robert McCollum of Hornell and William McCollumn of Rochester, 7 Grandchildren; Christopher McCollumn, Matthew McCollumn, Ryan McCollumn, Kelly (Gus) Katsuras, Adam McCollumn, Jamie McCollumn and Grace McCollumn, 2 great grand children, Aiden McCollumn and Elric McCollumn as well as many good friends.

The family will be present to receive friends from 2-4 & 7-9 PM Monday at the Bender - Brown & Powers Funeral Home, 354 Canisteo St, Hornell where funeral services will be on Tuesday at 11:00 AM. Deacon Robert McCormick will officiate. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Town Of Fremont.
