George S. Sauerbier

George S. Sauerbier, 93, formerly of Spruce St. passed away Sunday (March 31, 2013) at the Hornell Gardens.
Born in Hornell, November 10, 1919, the son of Arthur and Helen Polver Sauerbier, he had resided in Hornell all his life. George served his country in the United States Army in the South Pacific during WWII and retired from the Erie Rail Road. He had also worked for the Hornell Evening Tribune. George loved model boats, animals, and enjoyed hunting and fishing with his son.
In addition to his parents George was predeceased by his wife Edenia in 2002.
He is survived by one son, Gary Sauerbier of Hornell.

Honoring George's wishes there will be no calling hours. A private service will be held at the convenience of the family. Burial will be at Bath National Cemetery.
