6242 North Main Street,passed away Saturday (February 4, 2006) at St. James Hospital.
Born in Jefferson City, MO, March 25, 1925, the son of Roxy andDella Brewer Sanford,he had resided in Hornell & Canisteo area for over 60 years. He had been employedfor several years as a machinist at the former SKF Industries. He had been a school bus driver for manyyears for the Arkport School District. In later years, he was employed as a securityguard for O.G.S., working out of the State Office Buildingin Hornell. He was a member of theArkport American Legion, and had been avolunteer for the North Hornell Fire Dept. Bus will be remembered for his loveof hunting, fishing, gardening and playing guitar.
He was predeceased by his first wife. Barbara Hilyard Sanford in 1965, his second wife, Nancy Baker LehmanSanford in 2004, and a step-son, Mark Lehman in 1999.
He is survived by 5daughters- Paula (Ken) Kornacki of Buffalo, Trudy (Raymond) Herbert of AlfredStation, Marie (Jim) Saxton of Hornell,Connie (Randy) D'Apice of Hornell, Janet (Mitchell) Sims of Tn., 5 sons, Terry(Lisa) Sanford of Canisteo, Mark Sanford of Alfred Station, Scott (Kara)Sanford of Hornell, George Sanford of Hornell and John (Michaleen) Lehman ofCorning, 1 sister Ruby Husckstiedt of Fla.Several grandchildren, nieces & nephews.

354 CanisteoSt., Hornellwhere the Arkport American Legion will conduct a memorial service at 8PM. Funeralservices will be held at thefuneral home at 2PM Wednesday. Rev.David Kilgore will officiate. Burialwill be in Bath National Cemetery.
