George T. Crandall, 45, of 5 Mill Street, passed away suddenly, Monday (February 5, 2018) in Rochester.
Born in Ithaca, April 25, 1972, the son of George T. and Cathy (Ribble) Crandall Jr., he was a lifelong area resident. He had previously worked for County Cabs of Hornell. George enjoyed fishing, constantly using his cellphone, but nothing could compare to the love he had for his family.
He was predeceased by his father's George Crandall Jr, and Ronald Miller, and a brother Robert Crandall.
He is survived by his wife Peggie VanValkenburg Crandall, whom he married on March 3, 2007, his mother Cathy Miller of Hornell, 3 daughters Alisha Conley of Hornell, Jessica Crandall of Hornell, Tynia Conley of Hornell, 2 sons Jamie VanValkenburg of PA, Carter Conley of Hornell, his grandson Jared Jr. Leggett, 2 brothers Matthew Miller of Hornell, and Timothy Miller of Dansville.
The family will be present 11AM-1PM Saturday, February 10, 2018, at the Bender - Brown & Powers Funeral Home, 354 Canisteo Street in Hornell, where funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM, with the Rev. Tyrone Hall officiating.
