34 Washington Street,passed away Sunday (March29, 2009) at home.
Born in Dover,NJ, December 31, 1938, the son of Martin and AlicePayne Herbert, he had resided in Greenwood many yearsbefore recently moving to Hornell. He had retired from Dresser-Rand in PaintedPost in 1995. George was a member of the Wellsville Country Club, and was anavid Hunter, Golfer, and Fisherman.
He was predeceased by his father Martin Herbert, and hisbrother Tom Adderly.
He is survived by his wife Myrna TruaxAdderly, his mother Alice Herbert, daughter Veronica Tures of VA, step daughters Lisa (Chris) Hinchman of MD, Angela Ortiz of Brooklyn, sons David(Denise) Adderly of VA, Val (Trish) Adderly of Akron, NY, step sons Victor (Chrissy)Ortiz Jr. of Rochester, Aaron (Meredith) Ortiz of VA, sister Vonda (Mike) Smithof Campbell, brothers Roy Adderly of Addison, Donald(Linda) Herbert of Campbell, Doug (Jackie) Herbert of Campbell, 10grandchildren, special friends Pat (Paul) Cotton of Almond, son in law Mark Tures of VA.
The family will be present 1-2PMSaturday,April 4, 2009, at the Bender - Brown & Powers Funeral Home,
354 Canisteo St, Hornell,where a memorial service will be held at 2:00PM with Rev. Dale Ingraham officiating. Burial will be in Hornell Rural Cemetery.
