Frederick J. Heintz, 87,of

52West Ave., passed away Saturday (April 1, 2006) at the Hornell Gardens.



Born in Brooklyn,February 15, 1919,the son of Adolph J. and Marie Keiver Heintz, he had resided in Arkport since 1985. He was aveteran of the US Army, having served in WW-2. Following his discharge from themilitary, he moved to Californiaand was employed for Wayne Manufacturing in Pomona, CA. He was later employed at theformer General Marble in Hornell. Fredwas a member of the Arkport United Methodist Church.



He was predeceased by his wife Grace TerpenningHeintz in 1988, as well as one daughter, PatriciaAtherton and one sister, Margaret Beyer.

He is survived by two daughters, Nancy (Thomas) Dreyer of Mevane,NC, Denise (Daniel) Thompson of Arkport , 7 grandchildren, ReginaAtherton, Wesley Atherton, Michael Dreyer, Debra Slyter, Daniel Thompson II,Deanna Irvine and David Thompson as well as 7great grandchildren.



The family will be presentto receive friends from6 PM till 8 PMTuesday at the Robertson Funeral Home,new location, 354 Canisteo Street, Hornellwhere funeral services will be held onWednesday at 10:00 AM. Rev. Paul Emery will officiate. Burial will be in Arkport Cemetery.



Friends may make memorial contributions to Patient Care Fund% Veterans Administration Medical Center, Bath, NY14810. Contribution envelopes will beavailable at the funeral home.
