Frank Ross, 89, of Middleton, Tennessee, passed awayTuesday (January 22,2008) at his home.
Born in Town of Canisteo,September 5, 1918,he was the son of John and Bernice (Stewart)Ross. He grew up and resided inthe Canisteo area until 1972, when he moved to Lake City, Florida.In 1976, he moved to Middleton,Tennessee. He was a dairy farmer mostof his life, while working other various jobs ,retiring in 1985.
He was predeceased by his wife, Patricia Drake Ross, whom hemarried on May 15, 1948,after 58 years of marriage on November7, 2006. He was alsopredeceased by his parents, 4 brothers, Leo Ross, Elmer Ross, Burdette Ross,and his twin, Fred Ross who died at birth, 2 sisters, Mary Ingalls and Lottie Swift,as well as his life long friend, Zypha (Junior) Swift.
He is survived by 2 daughters, Sheila (Edward) Bailey ofTN., Sue (Mike) Hovey of Addison, 6 sons, James (Rosa) Ross of TN., John Rossof Canisteo, Gerald (Maria) Ross of Canisteo, Jeff Ross of Howard, Stanley(Karen) Ross of Howard, and Joseph (Kim)Ross of TN; a sister, Barbara Jessup Martin of Corning; his Mother-In-Law, RubyDrake of Canisteo, brothers-in-law, Melford (Ruth) Drake of Bath, Stanley (Patricia)Drake of Cuba, Marvin (Susan) Drake of Canisteo, 28 Grandchildren, 42Great-grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild, several nieces, nephews and hisfaithful canine companion, Bummer.
