Frank Joseph Glaister,79, of
60 Chestnut Ave,passed away Saturday (October14, 2006) at Noyes Hospital.
Born in Liverpool, England , May 16, 1927, the son of Joseph andMay Jones Glaister. Frank immigrated to Canada in 1951,to the USA in1963, becoming a U.S. Citizen in 1970. He was a Polymer Chemist all his liferetiring from Judd Wire LTD in TurnerFalls, MA, where heretired as the Research Director in May of 1992. On May 4, 1990 he married Peggy Ann (Kenison) HaratyGlaister who survives. He and his wife moved to Swain in 1994, and to Dansvillein 2006. He was an active member of the Christ Episcopal Church ofHornell, and the Tri-Parish Episcopalministry, as well as an active member of the Canaseraga Lions, the Faith inAction (Interfaith Volunteer Caregivers) from 1996-1999.
He is survived by hiswife Peggy Ann Glaister, his step children Todd S(Donnamarie) Haraty of Ossian,Bruce E (Gloria) Haraty of WestActon, MA, Eva L. (Dana) Crosby of Wayland, grandchildren, BryantBrokaw-Gerber, Nicholas John and Naomi Grace Haraty, Cristina Brianna Haraty, Ian Joaquin Haraty, OliviaHope Crosby, Alexandria Ann Haraty, Desiree Dianna Crosby, Shawna Marie Crosby,Deidre Rae Baker, and four brothers allof England and Wales, nine nieces and nephews.
A Funeral/Memorial service will be held Saturday (October 21, 2006) at 1:00pm at the Christ Episcopal Churchof Hornell, with the Father Thomas Gramley officiating. The family will bereceiving friends after the service, followed by a luncheon. Burial will be atthe Christ Episcopal Church Columbarium.
