Reed age 93 passed away peacefully on Tuesday (June 27, 2023) at the Woodside Manor Nursing Home in Rochester surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Hornell, NY on August 9, 1929 the daugther of Joseph Trentanelli and Anna Genneralli Trentanelli, and had attended the Hornell City School system. Frances was a gifted seamstress and had worked for various manufacturers such as Kaiser Glover Factory and Hickey Freeman. She also made clothes for her entire family of which they wore them proudly. Frances also enjoyed crocheting and ice cream. She was predeceased by her parents, her husband Clyde D. Reed, 3 brothers Anthony Trent, John Trentanelli, Joseph Trentanelli, 2 sisters Nancy Losecco, and Josephine Bailey, and her 2 sons John J. Reed, and James C. Reed. She is survived by her daugther Mary Reed of Rochester, her granddaugther Melanie Brown of Hornell her 5 great grandchildren Gage McCormick, Lily McCormick and their father James M. McCormick Jr., Rosemarie Brown, Allison Brown, Aimee Brown and their father Jack Brown Jr., possibly her brother James R. Trent and several nieces and nephews. A private graveside service was held on Thursday (June 29, 2023) at St Mary Cemetery in Fremont with Deacon Robert McCormick officiating. To send a remembrance please visit www.brownandpowersfuneralhomes.com or on Facebook @brownpowersfh, the family is being assisted by director Chester A.
