Frances E. Gardner, 81, of E. Washington St., passed away Sunday afternoon (August 5, 2018) at home.
Born in Rochester, N.Y., October 31, 1936, the daughter of George and Helen Niner Castner, she was 1 of 16 children. Frances spent most of her life in the Hornell area. Her family remembers her most for the unconditional love she always had towards them. Her family meant everything to her; she was the epitome of what a mother and grandmother should be.
She was predeceased by her parents.
She is survived by 2 sons; Jack (Teresa) Gardner of Canisteo and Alan Gardner of Hornell, 9 grandchildren; Jason Gardner, Sarah (Jordan) Conklin, Luke Gardner, Zachary Gardner, Uriah Gardner, Ashley Gardner, Brittney (Michael) Gardner, Timothy Gardner and Matthew Gardner, 5 great-grandchildren; Elijah Gardner, Jack Conklin, Molly Gardner, Wyatt Gardner and Michael Houge, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
