Floyd M. Madison, 69, of Maple Street, passed away Wednesday (February 27, 2013) at Vincent House in Wayland following a short illness.
Born in Hornell, April 1, 1943, the son of Floyd and Freida (Clark) Madison Sr., he had resided all his life in Canisteo. Floyd was a graduate of the former Canisteo Central School, class of 1962 and had been employed for 25 years at the former SKF in the shipping and receiving dept. and then as a Laundry Technician for 18 years at St. James Mercy Hospital. He was a member of the Canisteo Valley Assembly of God Church and a former member of the Canisteo Volunteer Fire Dept. Floyd was an avid sports enthusiast, especially NASCAR and enjoyed bowling where he once bowled 299!
He was predeceased by his parents.
He is survived by his wife, Norma (Hollowell) Madison of whom he married in 1964; one daughter, Daphne (Steve) Franklin of Hornell; two sons, Robert (Joyce) Madison of Hornell and Christan (Amber) Madison of Andover; six grandchildren, Tyler and Jenna Conner, Makenna Madison, Wade and Grace Franklin, Cecil Schoonover.

The family will be present receive friends from 1-3Pm and from 5-7Pm on Saturday (March 2, 2013), at the Brown & Powers Funeral Home, 6 Spruce St., Canisteo. Funeral services will follow calling hours at 7Pm at the funeral home, Larry Murray officiating.
