Floyd C. Kame, 91, of San Antonio Texas, passed away Wednesday (May 5, 2010) at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Canandaigua.



Born in Hornellsville, September 16, 1918, the son of Clarence and Edith (Sick) Kame, he had resided in Hornell his early life and made his home in Texas since 1964. He returned to the area about 3 weeks ago to be with his family because of illness. He was a graduate of Hornell High School, and had served his country as a member of the US Navy during WW-2. He was the owner and operator of F & K Enterprises, a long distance trucking company for several years.



Floyd enjoyed traveling, was an avid walker, but mostly, will be remembered for his love of family.



He was predeceased by his parents as well as his wife Elizabeth in 1999, 4 brothers, Milton, Clifford, Harold and Merle Kame, 2 sisters, Helen Burdick and Mabel Waight .



He is survived by 2 daughters, Bonnie (Thurlow) Smith of Hornell and Nancy (Walter) Willard of Clifton Springs, 1 son, Max (Rita) Kame of Arkport, 1 sister, Ruth Montgomery of Blasdell, 6 grandchildren; Scott (Rose ) Smith of Arkport, Sharilyn (Michael) Yates of North Tonawanda, Allen (Chris) Estey of Manchester, Sandra (Gary) Brutsman of Almond, Catherine Estey of Rochester and Lori (Thomas) Corrigan of Avon, 11 great grandchildren 2 great great grandchildren, nieces & nephews



.The family will be present to receive friends from 7-9 PM Friday and 1-2 PM Saturday at the Bender-Brown & Powers Funeral Home 354 Canisteo St, Hornell where funeral services will following calling hours on Saturday at 2 PM. Burial will be in Rogersville Forrest Lawn Cemetery, South Dansville.
