Felice S. Platt
95, of Warsaw, formerly of Angelica, passed away peacefully at home Sunday, May 3, 2015.
She was born August 9, 1919, to Guy E. and Edna E. (Wyse) Schuyler in Hornellsville, New York, and lived most of her life in West Almond and Angelica.
Felice was a 1936 graduate of Wilsonian High School in Angelica, and a 1941 graduate of Houghton College. After teaching high school Social Studies one year in Canisteo and another in Belmont, on September 15, 1944 she married Alfred C. Platt in the Post Chapel at Fort Ord, California. The couple later returned to West Almond and Angelica to raise their family.
Many knew her as the lady with all the flowers in her yard, the dog by her side and the big red Lincoln!
Felice was predeceased by an infant sister in 1915, her father in 1961, her mother in 1967, and her husband in 1982. She is survived by her four children, David (Vicki) Platt of Las Vegas, Nevada, Winston (Sandy) Platt of Warsaw, New York, Brent Platt of West Almond, New York, and Judy (Larry) Bettello of Pomona, New York, 13 grandchildren, and 8 great grandchildren.
Calling hours will be Tuesday, May 12, 2-4 & 7-9 pm at Brown and Powers Funeral Home, 101 West Avenue, Angelica. Her funeral service will be Wednesday, May 13, 10:00 am, at the funeral home, followed by burial in Forest Hills Cemetery in Belmont.
