Evelyn A. Brotzman, 94, formerly of South Canisteo, entered into eternal rest with our heavenly Father onTuesday (November 20, 2012).
Born in Hornell, March 15, 1918, she was the daughter of Earl and Ella (Norton) Kelley. On December 22, 1939 at the South Canisteo Methodist Church parsonage, she married Eldred Brotzman who predeceased her on March 29, 2009. Together they raised 4 sons on the family farm in South Canisteo. She was a stay at home Mom for her family. She was a member of the Canisteo First United Methodist Church, member of the former Canisteo Chapter #210, Order of Eastern Star, the Women of the Moose, and was one of the founding members of the Canisteo Senior Citizens in 1974. Evelyn dearly loved her family and enjoyed camping, playing cards, and socializing.
She was predeceased by her parents, her husband Eldred, her son Fred Brotzman as well as her two brothers, Earl and Fred Kelley.
She is survived by three sons: Lynn and his wifeBarbara Topping Brotzman of Hornell, Larry and his wife Stella Brotzman of MISS, William Lee and his wife, Teresa Brotzman of NC, her long time friends, Rod and Doreen Teribury of South Canisteo, 9 Grandchildren and several great grandchildren.

The family will be present to receive friends at the Bender- Brown & Powers Funeral Home, 354 Canisteo Street in Hornell on Saturday from Noon until 2 PM at which time funeral services will be held. Burial will be in Jasper Cemetery.
