Evelyn F. Hale, 89, of 6132 Hess Road, passed away Saturday (April 8, 2017) at her home.
Born in Allen, April 25, 1927, the daughter of Leon and Florence (VanGuilder) James, she had resided in Belmont, since 1953. On June 25, 1949 she married Robert Hale, who predeceased her on March 28, 1997. She enjoyed crocheting and reading.
She was predeceased by her parents, her husband, 6 brothers Hollis "Bill" James, Francis "Dutch" James, Merlin "Tony" James, Alvin "Mike" James, Kenneth "Ken" James, Jess James, her sister Lillian Carpenter.
She is survived by two sons Gerald Hale Sr. of Belmont, Dean (Christine) Hale of Friendship, 11 grandchildren, several great grandchildren, 4 great great grandchildren, her sister Marleah Gelser-Ritter of Belmont.
A private service was held at the Brown & Powers Funeral Home 101 West Avenue, on Tuesday (April 11, 2017). Burial was at Maple Grove Cemetery in Friendship.
