Emma J. Bossard, 84, of 78 Glen Avenue, passed away peacefully Saturday (February 11, 2012) at her home.
Born in Hornell August 25, 1927, the daughter of Leonard and Margaret (Sackett) Campbell, she was a lifelong area resident. On August 15, 1948 she married Merle Roy Bossard, and was predeceased by him on June 10, 2004. Emma was full of life and enjoyed being a mother and grandmother. She was a member of the Hornell Moose, and enjoyed knitting, crocheting, baking and cooking.
She was predeceased by her parents and husband Merle, as well as sister Betty Campbell-Knickerbocker.
She is survived by her son Roy (Sharon) Bossard of Milford, Kansas, 2 grandchildren Kevin (Yanessa) Bossard of PA, and Heather Zamora of NY, 5 great grandchildren, a brother in law Glen and sister in law (Mary Ellen) "Tommie" Bossard, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The family will be present 2-4 & 7-9 PM Friday, February 17, 2012, at the Robertson Funeral Home, (at the Bender-Brown & Powers Location) 354 Canisteo St, Hornell, where funeral services will be held on Saturday, at 11:00 AM, with Rev. Jerry Springston officiating. Burial will be in Rural Cemetery, Hornell.
