Elwood A. "Pete" Miles,70, of
5388 Purdy Creek Road,passed away Saturday (March8, 2008) at St. James Hospital.
Born in Troupsburg, March 16, 1937, the son of Jesseand Ica Clark Miles, he had resided most of his life in thetown of Hartsville. He was a graduate of Canisteo Central School, Class of 1955,and had been employed for several yearsat the Hubertus Mobil Station in Canisteo and later for A.L. Blades in Hornell.
He was predeceased by his parents, his foster parents, Lanson and Adabelle Webb, hissister, Betty Smith, and his brothers, Eldon, Gale, Donald, and Jesse "Junior" Miles.
He is survived by his wife, Beverly O'Dell Miles, whom hemarried in 1956, 2 daughters, Bonnie (Michael) Perkins of Wellsville, and Donna(Orville) Perkins of Alfred Station, 2 brothers, Duane Miles of North Carolinaand Philip Webb of Hartsville, and one sister, Doris Bliss of Addison, 4grandchildren, Shawn (Mary) Perkins, Cory Perkins, Heather (John) Ueblacker and JenniferPerkins, 2 great grandchildren, Jadan and LilliePerkins, nieces & nephews.
