Elwin L. Flint, 80, of 6281 Ct. Rt. 68, passed away Wednesday (August 2, 2017) at Strong Memorial Hospital, Rochester.
Born in Hornell, NY, November 24, 1936, a son of Edwin and Alice (Olin) Flint, he had resided in Hornell all of his life. Elwin was a very hard worker and could fix anything. He was kindhearted, always positive, no matter where he was in life he always said how lucky he was and he was the best father any of his children could ever ask for.
He was predeceased by his parents, his wife, Alice (Stiles) Flint in 2010, his son, Michael Flint in 1990, his daughter, Paula Gifford in 2016, 3 brothers, Edwin, William and Gene Flint and 1 sister, Golden Flint.
He is survived by 2 sons, Russell Flint of Erwin and Andrew Flint of Hornell, 3 daughters, Victoria (John) Steen of Canisteo, Lisa (Richard) Robinson of Hornell and Michele (Michael) O'Dea of Arkport, a son-in-law, Wynn Gifford of Ohio, 9 grandchildren and 1 great granddaughter.

The family will be present Monday (August 7, 2017) from 12-2PM, at the Bender - Brown & Powers Funeral Home, 354 Canisteo St, Hornell, where funeral services will be held immediately following calling hours at 2PM, Rev. Donald Maynard officiating. Burial will be in Rural Cemetery, Hornell.
