Born April6, 1922 in Hornell, Elthea was the onlychild of Peter J and Edna Alice McIntosh Anthony. She graduated from Alfred-Almond Central Schooland married April 6, 1942in Almond to the late Robert L. Emerson, a dairy farmer.
Elthea loved to spend time withher family and was devoted to farm life. She also held jobs in food service atAlfred State Tech and Alfred University for manyyears. After retiring, she enjoyed traveling to visit family and friends in Florida, and Texas.
Survivors include 2 sons, Charles (Linda) Emerson of AlfredStation, and Peter (Gloria Blanco) Emerson of Holland, OH, 6 grandchildren, 9great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and Ms. Sarah Gregoire.
The family will receive friends from 1-3pm Monday at the Robertson Funeral Home 354Canisteo Street, where Funeral services will be held at the conclusion ofcallings hours at 3:00pmwith the Pastor Charles Emerson her son officiating. Burial will be at the Alfred Rural Cemetery.
