5300 State Route 248, passed away Wednesday (October 4, 2006) at Robert Packer Hosptial in Sayre, PA.
Born in Canisteo, January3, 1921, the daughter of Edward and MabelGoodrich Denhoff,she had resided in Canisteo nearly all her life. She had beenemployed for several years at the former Westinghouse Plant in Bath.Eloise enjoyed sewing, crafts and quilting.
She was predeceased byher husbands, Clarence Stephens in 1964,and Clifford Messing in 1996 as well as her son, John C. Stephens in 2006, hersister, Maxine Rechichi and her step son MarkMessing.
She is survived by 3daughters, Virginia (Harold) Hilyard of Canisteo,Barbara ( Norman)Hurd of TN., Betty Drake of Hornell, 1 son, Larry (Donna)Stephens of Canisteo, 1 sister- Dorothy Riefer ofHornell, 1 brother, Jack (Ann) Denhoff of Elmira, 2step-daughters, Marjorie Messing of Hornell , Patricia Page of Ohio, 2step-sons, Clifford Messing (Cheryl) Jr. of Rochester, Gary (Becky) Messing ofPA, special friends, Blanche Campbell of Greenwood, Kathy Lute of Jasper andKenneth Eymer of Hornell, several grand, great grand,step grand and step great grandchildren, nieces & nephews.
