Ella Jane VanAllen, 78, formerly of

Jackson Street, passed away Tuesdayevening(May 15, 2007)at St. James Hospital.



Born in Hornell, March 30, 1929, the daughter of Allie and MildredCochrane Morse, she had resided all herlife in Hornell, and Canisteo. She was agraduate of Canisteo Central School,Class of 1946, and had been employed at the former Westinghouse Plant in Bath, the former Tuttleand Rockwell's in Hornell, Sears and theHornell License Bureau. In later years she worked as a certified nurses aide inprivate duty care.



She was predeceased by her sister, Ruth Beyea, and 2brothers, Earl and Daniel Morse.



She is survived by one daughter: Ellen (Tex) Partridge ofBeaver Dams, four sons: William (Cindy)VanAllen of Rome, Randall (Diane)VanAllen of Hartsville, Steven (Sharon) VanAllen of Texas, Robert (Lezlie)Morse of Corning, one brother Raymond Morse of Ransomville, 11 grandchildren,23 great grandchildren, nieces & nephews.

The family will be present to receive friends on Saturdayform 11AM until 1 PM at the Brown & Powers Funeral Home, 6 Spruce St., Canisteowhere funeral services will follow calling hours at 1:00 PM.Burial will be in Rural Cemetery, Hornell.
