7895 Stewart Road,passed away Sunday (July 16, 2006) at McAuley Manor where she had resided for 2 days.
Born in Sault Sainte Marie, MICHIGAN,February 16, 1917,the daughter of Glenn B. and Nancy E. (Foster)Teeter, she was married to Lester L. Stiles, on Aug. 6, 1949.He predeceased her in 2000 after 50 years of marriage. Elizabethwas a resident of the Hornell area since 1930,and was a graduate of Hornell High School, Class of1938. She was a member of Christ Episcopal Church in Hornell and was an activemember of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Hornell VFW and the Coodeetes.She was a volunteer and served as a VAVS representative at the Bath Veterans Administration Hospitaland received many service awards. She had been employed as a waitress for theformer Sherwood Hotel and the Ponce De'Leon Restaurant in Hornell.
While she enjoyed many craftsand sewing, her greatest love was baseball and was a faithful New York Yankeesfan.
She was predeceased byher parents, her husband Lester in 2000,as well as 3 sisters and one brother.
She is survived by one daughter: Ann (Donald) Weaver of Hornell, with whom sheresided, 2 grandchildren, Elizabeth (Jeffrey) Williams of Crossville, TN,Donald (Tammy) Weaver Jr., of Almond, Great Grandchildren, Zachary and BreannaWilliams, Haley and Kadence Weaver, and Tiara Brown.
The family will be present to receive friends from 3 PMtill 6PM Wednesday, at the RobertsonFuneral Home at their new location,
354 Canisteo Street,Hornell where a memorial service will beconducted at 7 PM Wednesdayby the Ladies Auxiliary of the HornellVFW. Funeral services will follow at 7:30PM with Rev. Thomas Gramley officiating. . Burial will be in Rural Cemetery,Hornell.
