ElizabethChurch of West Main St went home to be with theLord Monday (June 26, 2006)at the Wellsville Manor.



Born June26, 1912 the daughter of Everett and Harriet Zimmer Hodge she hadlived in the Hornell, Swain and West Almond areas before moving to Angelica,and had graduated from Hornell High School. Bettyretired from Angelica Central Schoolin 1973 as the cafeteria manager. Betty was predeceased by her first husbandJames "Mac" Walter McKnight in 1959, and her second husband Harold "Chuck" Church in 2003. She had spent wintersin Floridawith her husband Chuck for twenty years until 1999. Betty was a 50+ year memberof the Angelica United Methodist Church and was also amember of the Angelica Eastern Star Chapter #231. She was also predeceased byher son James Richard McKnight in November of 1994, as well as her brothersWesley Hodge and Preston Hodge.



She is survived by her daughter Sandra McKnight of Angelica,4 sons Theodore (Martha) McKnight of TN, Robert (Helen) McKnight of Almond,Roderick (Marie) McKnight of Angelica, and Ronald (Denise) McKnight of Miss. 1brother Kenneth (Katherine) Hodge of NC, 16 grandchildren, 26 greatgrandchildren and her daughter in law Virginia McKnight Cormier.



A Funeral service for Betty will be held at the Angelica United Methodist Church on August 7, 2006 at 11:00am with the Rev. Ernest Tracyofficiating. Burial will be at the Hornell Rural Cemetery.
