Eleanor Crandall Hale, 91, of Gainesville Florida, formerly of Arkport, passed away Tuesday (April 23, 2013) in Gainesville.



Born in the Town Of Dansville, August 10, 1921, she was the daughter of Clayton and Alice Crandall.



She was predeceased by her husband of 44 years, Theodore C. Hale, one sister, Marion Manry, two sons, Theodore Jr. and Donald Lee as well as one daughter, Linda Mary.



She is survived by five daughters, Eloise (Warren) Day of Grantville, GA.,Helen (Bill) DeCarlis of Gainesville, FL., Jeanette (Laverne) Henry of Canisteo, Sally Webb Huff of Interlachen, Fl., Susan (Rick) Benesh of Trenton, FL., and three sons, Bill (Annette) Hale of Crawford, FL., Alton (Melinda) Hale of High Springs, FL., and Gary (Arlene) Hale of Newberry. Also surviving are 25 grandchildren, 43 great grandchildren and 20 great great Grandchildren.



Eleanor was a homemaker, business owner and volunteered for charities. She enjoyed all kinds of crafts, crocheting, sewing, knitting and traveling in her motor home. Her passion was her family.

The family will be present to receive friends from 7-9 PM Friday (April 26, 2013) at the Robertson Funeral Home, 354 Canisteo Street, Hornell. Graveside services will be held at Heritage Hill Cemetery in Arkport on Saturday April 27, 2013 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Steven Jewell officiating. Burial will follow.
