Elberta K. London, 90, formerly of Canisteo, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday (February 25, 2017) at Elderwood at Hornell.
Born in Cameron, January 21, 1927, the daughter of Warren W. and Ila G. Stuart Nesbit, she had resided in Cameron for several years before moving to Canisteo.
Elberta had been employed as an aide at the former Foote Nursing Home in Canisteo and the Former Fulong Nursing Home in Hornell. She was also employed at the former Westinghouse Plant in Bath. She was a member of the Faith Independent Baptist Church of Canisteo.
She was predeceased by her parents, and one sister; Margaret "Maggie" Allen.
She is survived by her son; Raymond (Sandy) London of Canisteo. Four grandchildren; Myles Hoare, Marlo (Patrick) McParlane, Melissa (Jerry) Caldwell and Ray W. London II, Eight great grandsons, one great great grand daughter and another due in April.

A private burial took place in Hillside Cemetery in Canisteo. Family and friends are invited to a memorial service at the Brown & Powers Funeral Home, 6 Spruce Street in Canisteo on Saturday, April 8, 2017 at 7:00 PM, Pastor Daniel Todd officiating.
