Elaine S. Patterson, 69,of 5492 Carl's Road passed away Thursday(September 27, 2007)peacefully at home.
Born in Hornell, November 27, 1937, the daughter of Carl and Fannie Flint Stocum,she had resided in Canisteo and Hornellall her life. She was a graduate Canisteo Central School class of 1956. Elaine retired as a medical secretary in thePsychiatric Care Unit of St .James Mercy Hospitalin March 2007. Elaine was also a foster parent to many children.
She is survived by her husband, Roy Patterson of Canisteo,whom she married January 31, 1965, 4 daughters Cheryl Austin of Canisteo, Teresa(Rev. Dudley) Jenkins of Hornell, Rita (Jeff) O'Dell of Canisteo, Lorie (Shawn)DeVore of Fla, 2 sons Steven (Gaylee) Patterson of Dansville, Kevin (Ronda)Patterson of Fla 15 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
The family will be present to receive friends from 2-4 &7-9 PM Sunday, at the Brown & Powers Funeral Home, 6 Spruce St., Canisteo,where funeral services will be heldMonday at 11:00 AM,with the Rev. Dudley Jenkins officiating.Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery.
