Edward S Decker,75, of
16 Park Avenue, passed away Saturday (March 4, 2006) at his home.
Born in Canisteo, December 16, 1930, the son of John S andHazel (Chase) Decker, he had been a lifelong area resident. He hadbeen in the Army National Guard from 1949-58 where he attained the rank ofSergeant, and retired from Foster Wheeler, as a machinist. Ed was a member ofthe Arkport Hose Co. Arkport Ambulance, and the Eagle Garden Tractor PullingAssocication. He will be fondly remembered for his passion of Tractor Pulls ,henot only won many trophies, participated in many pulls, but also liked to fix tractors. Ed enjoyed helping people such as volunteering for the Bread run for theSalvation Army. He also loved boating and fishing, but most of all his familywas his life.
He was predeceased by his parents and his brother Richard Decker .
He is survived by wifeNadine (Bowen) Decker whom he married July 25, 1959. 2 daughters Dawn Decker of Hornell,Elizabeth Ann Decker of Hornell, 1 son Edward John Decker of Arkport, 3 sistersDonna (Ernie) Neild of Campbell, Doris (Ray) Baker of Greenwood, and LindaWilliams of Canisteo, 1 brother Keith (Pat) Decker of Jasper, 6 grandchildrenJason Piatt, Lisa Piatt, Ashley Decker, Gregory Decker, Jessica Gardiner, andJennifer Gardiner, several nieces and nephews and 6 Feline Friends.

The family will be present 2-4& 7-9 PM Tuesday, at the RobertsonFuneral Home (new location) 354 CanisteoStreet, Hornell, where funeralservices will be held 1:00pm Wednesday, with the Rev. Jess Flint officiating.Burial will be at the Arkport Cemetery.
