Duane W. Howell, 67, of 21 Taylor Street, passed away Monday (April 29, 2013) at his home.
Born in Troy, PA, August 12, 1945, the son of William and Eloise Wood Howell, he had resided in Canisteo since 1972. Duane had been employed most all his life as a car salesman and mechanic. He worked for the former Cleveland Truck Lines, and was owner of Howell's Sales and Repair in Canisteo from 1997 until 2009.
He was predeceased by his mother.
He is survived by his wife, Carol Ann Root Howell to whom he was married July 13, 1965, his father, William Howell of Sayre, PA., his children, Debra (John) Hardy of Canisteo, Darryl (Lucinda) Howell of Canisteo, Scott (Tammy )Howell of Hornell, Keith Howell of Hornell, and Kurtis Howell of Hornell. His sisters, Beverly (George "Junior") Barrett of Troy, Aleida (John) Bryereon of Sayre, PA., and Penny (Bill) Jones of PA., his brothers, Lewis (Phyllis) Howell of Canton and Donald (Ruth) Howell of Oklahoma, 16 Grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren several nieces & nephews.
