Duane F. Butler Sr. 73, of 6206 County Route 119, passed away Thursday (November 25, 2010) at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester.
Born in Canisteo, August 1, 1937, the son of Loul and Mabel Covell Butler, he had resided in this area all his life. He had been employed in farming and at Crowley Dairy in Arkport.
He was predeceased by his parents, his son, Tyler Butler, his sister, Ella O'Dell, and his brothers, Charles, Glen, and Newell Butler.
He is survived by his daughters, Diane (Lester) Johnson, Ann (John) Mullen and Sheila (Bruce) Hosmer all of Hornell, and Deborah (Tracy) Caparulo of Cameron, his sons, Duane Butler of Cameron, David (Debbie) Butler, Timothy Butler, and Donald (Ramona) Butler all of Hornell, and and Kyle Butler of Cameron, his sisters, Ida Hults of Hornell, Mary Campbell of Cameron, Blanch (Glen) Campbell of Greenwood and Shirley (Butch) Ross of New Jersey, several grand and great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and his long time friend, Rick Hamlin of Cameron.

The family will be present to receive friends at the Bender-Brown & Powers Funeral Home, 354 Canisteo St., Hornell on Monday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM where funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 11 AM. Rev. Donald Maynard will officiate. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Canisteo.
